Success Measure
Effective use of digital technology, data and processes can support the delivery of outstanding quality and personalised care and support at the right place and at the right time.
Overview
Digital technology can be used by individuals drawing on care, care professionals, and care providers to enhance the quality of social care, free up time for meaningful human interaction and also foster connections between people who draw on care, friends, family members and care networks.
Organisations can use technology to improve the provision of care and support for people to have choice, control and independence. This may mean embedding technology to support the provision of care. It might also mean, using insight from data to drive improvements in the quality of care and safety in a setting. This includes improving equity and access – ensuring people have access to high-quality care no matter who they are or where they live.
A digital shared care record and working with local and regional partners can help organisations to achieve these aims.
