Funding for research projects
The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) is funding social care providers to research and evaluate the use of technology in social care through their Acceleration Award.
Up to £200,000 is available for comprehensive research proposals. Apply by 26 July 2023.
Funding to improve your internet connection
Care providers in rural areas can apply for funding to improve their broadband connection from the Government through the Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme.

You may be able to find funding for other projects and equipment through local grant providers such as:
- Local Growth Hubs – support for local businesses facing cost-of-living challenges
- The National Lottery – grants for community projects
Grace Cares – one off support grants for care workers and older people in need, which could be used to fund basic technology equipment
