Tommy Henderson-Reay, Social Worker and Digital Engagement Programme Manager for the Digitising Social Care (DiSC) programme, will be speaking at two panel sessions at HETT 2024 in ExCeL London.

These include the closing keynote panel in the Digital Maturity Forum on the first day, September 24 entitled, "Does digital in health and care need evolution or revolution?" In it Tommy will highlight the value of digital making significant impacts that don’t disrupt business approaches. Tommy says,

...it's not scary and resources (and funding) are here to support organisations embrace an evolution in their thinking and or approach

He will also be speaking in the opening panel session in Digitally Empowered Patients on September 25, entitled "Do I Opt-Out? - How to Build Public Trust in Health and Social Care Data Sharing"

This looks at how increased digitisation has allowed the conversation around digital and people in receipt of care to increase. As time develops this is likely to be an expectation for people in receipt of care and therefore organisations, technology suppliers and policy need to be aware of this. The DiSC programme plays a central role in guiding the conversation around how data in social care can be used across both care and health, safely and effectively.
