What Good Looks Like (WGLL) Self-Assessment Tool for Adult Social Care Providers

The WGLL self-assessment tool has been co-developed with people working across adult social care and supports care providers who are at different stages of their digital transformation journey. The tool helps care providers to assess and review their organisation against the seven success measures and standards of good practice within the guidance Digital working in adult social care: What Good Looks Like.

The self-assessment can:

  • Help care providers to identify areas of capability and good practice involving the use of digital technology where you can potentially develop further, to support your digital journey.
  • Inform, develop and shape their digital vision and strategy, highlighting areas for further digital development, and transformational change.
  • Signpost care providers to information, guidance and resources to further develop your capabilities in using technology to improve the delivery of care.

The WGLL self-assessment tool is to be completed by individuals who have responsibility for digital transformation in care provider organisations.

Upon completion of the WGLL self-assessment tool, you will be able to view and/or download a results report. The report highlights area(s) where your organisation has gaps or may wish to develop further on your digital transformation journey, and signpost you to wider information and resources.

The WGLL self-assessment tool should take about 30 minutes to complete.
