Following the release of the first draft of the Reporting Minimum Data Standards (RMDS) for Digital Social Care Records (DSCRs) we have paused our work to develop this from an initial specification into an Information Standard Notice (ISN).
In the upcoming year, we are working to outline our plans for the future, including how we intend to engage with stakeholders in the sector, such as care providers and DSCR suppliers. Our focus will be on refining data metrics, reaching agreements on underlying rationale and definitions, reference sets, and technical specifications. Minimising the data and reporting burden on care providers will remain a priority.
We are also working towards additional key commitments set out in Care Data Matters. By 2028, we aim to complete a streamlined core provider minimum dataset, move to a simplified data-collection approach using DSCRs and other data sources, and ensure this data is available securely to providers and other organisations.
