Following the release of this first draft of the RMDS for DSCRs, we are continuing our work to develop this from an initial specification into an Information Standard Notice (ISN).
In the upcoming months, we will outline our plans for 2024/25 including how we intend to engage with stakeholders in the sector, such as care providers and DSCR suppliers. Our focus will be on refining data metrics, reaching agreements on underlying rationale and definitions, reference sets, and technical specifications. Minimising the data and reporting burden on care providers will remain a priority.
We are also working towards an additional key commitment set out in Care Data Matters that by 2028, a streamlined core provider minimum dataset will be complete and transition to a streamlined data collection approach using DSCRs and other data sources will be delivered, and data will be available in a secure manner to providers and other organisations.
