Digital Skills Self-Assessment tool for Adult Social Care

The Digital Skills Self-Assessment tool has been co-developed with people working across adult social care, and is designed to assess their digital knowledge and skills against the seven themes of the Digital Skills Framework for Adult Social Care

The Digital Skills Self-Assessment tool can:

  • Help you to identify broad areas of learning and skills that you can further develop to support your understanding and use of technology in the delivery of care.
  • Support your personal career development by signposting you to key areas to further build and expand your knowledge of using and applying technology in the delivery of care (including links to digital e-learning, training and qualifications).
  • Support you to identify opportunities for developing skills in championing and leading on the use of technology within your organisation.

The Digital Skills Self-Assessment tool is split into two levels:

  • Digital skills ‘for all’, this will assess your digital knowledge and skills.
  • Digital skills to ‘go further’, an optional level, (following your completion of the digital skills ‘for all’) this assesses the knowledge and skills for those working in or wanting to progress into supervisory, management or leadership roles, digital champions or business support roles.

Upon completion of the Digital Skills Self-Assessment tool, you will be able to view and/or download a results report. The report will highlight area(s) where you may wish to further develop your knowledge and skills, and signpost you to wider information and resources.

Each level will take about 25 minutes to complete.
